Surkhet Airport is an airplane terminal in Surkhet, Nepal (IATA: SKH, ICAO: VNSK). This airplane terminal is one of the center point air terminals in Mid-Western Nepal. Surkhet Airport is 5 km from the city of Birendranagar and is once in a while alluded to as Birendranagar Airport. Approximately 18 minutes after take-off and 10 km north of Surkhet, at an elevation of around 6500 feet, the air ship collided with trees on the Gargare Danda slope in awful climate. Every one of the two group and two travelers were killed.On 26 May 2010 a Tara Air DHC-6 Twin Otter had taken off from Surkhet Airport heading for Talcha Airport in Rara National Park, with 18 travelers and 3 team on board. At 10 am, the air ship needed to make a crisis arrival at Surkhet after its lodge entryway abruptly opened five minutes after take-off. Tara Airlines authorities said that the lodge orderly figured out how to bolt the entryway quickly after it opened.
