Jomsom Airport

Jomsom Airport (IATA: JMO, ICAO: VNJS) is an air terminal serving Jomsom, a town in the Mustang District of Province No. 4 in Nepal. It serves as the portal to Muktinath sanctuary, which is a well known journey for Nepalis and Indians. The air terminal is equipped for taking care of flying machine from the Nepalese Army Air Service.The airplane terminal lives at a rise of 8,800 feet (2,682 m) above mean ocean level. It has one black-top cleared runway assigned 06/24 which measures 720 by 19 meters (2,362 ft × 62 ft).On 14 May 2012, Agni Air Flight CHT, a Dornier 228, smashed while endeavoring to arrive at Jomsom air terminal, executing 15 of 21 individuals on board. The accident killed Indian kid performing artist Taruni Sachdev.On 16 May 2013, Nepal Airlines Flight 555, a de Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter, conveying 18 travelers and three team, smashed on the bank of the Gandaki River. Nobody was slaughtered, however seven individuals maintained genuine wounds. Eight of the plane's travelers were Japanese voyagers while the three group individuals and remaining travelers were Nepali.It serves as the portal to Muktinath sanctuary, which is a well known journey for Nepalis and Indians.
